Kokorogawari Review

Kokorogawari is an Otome [GxB] romance visual novel set in modern day Japan focusing on art, the depth of emotions and relationships.

I have played a lot of visual novels lately such as Blood Code, Tailor Tales (still in development), and Amnesia Memories.  I have thoroughly enjoyed them all and I'm always looking for the next best one.  Kokorogawari caught my attention because it seems to explore the emotions and family connections as well as the possible romance with one of the men in the game.  I haven't played a visual novel where I felt I could really relate to the character in some ways like her thoughts on art and relationships.  I love the relationship she has with her mother, you can feel how close they became after her father left.

Kokorogawari has a beautiful art style and a clean interface with clear font making it easy to read.  The dictionary provides useful information for Japanese terms such as the food that's mentioned, culture and name suffixes.  The music helps immerse the player in the game and helps convey the emotions in the scene.

The first two chapters in the demo had a lot of content and I got so fully immersed in the story and the characters, I didn't want to stop playing.  I like the different personalities of the men in the game they are so different and kind in their own way.

I highly recommend this visual novel to everyone who loves them and even people who have never played them before.  The main character is really easy to relate to and the story so far is engaging and I can't wait to read more.

Kokorogawari is available for pre-order on https://precatio.itch.io/kokorogawari I urge everyone to check it out especially if you love visual novels.
